We welcome children between the ages of 7 and 14 to come along and join our Brighton Young Stitchers group. Children younger than 7 are also welcome provided they are accompanied by an adult.
This group meets at 10am on the 1st Saturday of each month at the Patcham Community Centre. For directions see Contact us page.
The children can choose from a wide range of materials to create such items as fabulous Fungi, Butterflies, stitched Beach Litter and even fabric Pizzas!
We have had expert textile teachers for workshops on felting and heat transfer printing.
The safe use of sewing machines and simple embroidery techniques are taught in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Sewing machines are available for use.
In the true tradition of sewing, the children chat and sew to create highly individual pieces they can be proud of.
