Chichester Quilters Show
~ 9th-10th October 10-4. The Assembly Room, North St, Chichester PO19 1LQ. Entry £4
One of our members, Carolyn, visited the Hastings Embroidery created by The Royal School of Embroidery in 1966. Please find her informative report below.
Hastings Embroidery
We visited The Hastings Embroidery on the 17th September 2026, which was created in 1966 by the Royal School of Needlework. The skill used in the stitching, selection of fabrics and threads is amazing and is fascinating to see. It covers major periods of British History from 1066 to Queen Elizabeth Seconds Coronation in 1953. The embroidery has been created in many separate panels.
They range from the landing of William at Pevensey, Chaucer, Guy Fawkes, The Fire of London, American Independence to Queen Elizabeth’s Crown Jewels.

The Embroidery is on display until the 2nd of October, possibly longer. You need to book a place through Eventbright but entry is free. The Embroideries are upstairs at the Hastings Town Hall.
